Jon Payne is the owner and lead instructor of Payne Defense Concepts.  Jon has worked in civilian Law Enforcement since 2000  and bases his training programs on real world experience.  

Prior to entering civilian Law Enforcement, Jon completed 15 years of service in the USAF and USAFR as an USAF Security Policeman, Combat Arms Instructor, and Airbase Defense Team Member.

Jon is a State Certified CHL Instructor, a Tier 1 Staff Instructor for Suarez International who was hand selected by Gabe Suarez himself.  Jon has worked with an internationally known entertainment company as an adviser for Close Quarters Battle scenes.

When not teaching CHL classes or classes for Suarez International Jon is a part-time paid patrolman for a small municipality and a deputy Constable in Southeast TX.  We thank you for your interest in firearms training and strive to assist you in any way we can.
